626 Acantholimon acerosum brachystachium 6X7 6 Buns of short silver grey leaves. Pink flowers on stems 2-4 inches tall. A Euroseeds selection from Karaman Turkey. These have done very well for us. DR TNT
2 Acantholimon araxanum 6X12 5 Nice silvery spiny buns with rose pink flowers on relatively short scapes. Found in Greece and further east. DR
627 Acantholimon armenum 8X15 0 Buns/mounds of silver sharp tipped leaves and large pink flowers. From Turkey, of course! This has been one of the better Acantholimons for us and has performed reliably, given well drained soil. DR TNT
3 Acantholimon bracteatum capitatum 3X6 6 A very choice Acantholimon. Small silvery mounds and congested stems of bright pink flowers. DR
630 Acantholimon caryophyllaceum 12X20 6 A large and striking Acantholimon. Over time it forms large silver domes of silver spine tipped leaves. Pink flowers on erect scapes. From Turkey. DR TNT
875 Acantholimon cataonicum 0X0 0 Very dense green large cushions. Bright pink flowers on relatively short stems. Another one from Turkey. DR
5 Acantholimon glumaceum 6X24 5 Spiny green cushions and bright pink flowers. This is one of the easiest of the Acantholimons, native to sunny dry rock crevices in the Trans Caucaus.
633 Acantholimon kotschyi laxispicatum 12X0 0 Silver grey cushions. Scapes of rose pink flowers. DR
634 Acantholimon lycopodiodes 0X0 4 Small dense grey spined cushions. The pink flowers are almost stemless flowers. From India DR
879 Acantholimon spirizianum 0 A silver compact shrublet from Turkey. Pink flowers n branches that are occasionally branched. DR
636 Acantholimon trojanum 5X10 0 Forms dense green cushions similar to the green forms of A. ulicinum. Pink flowers sit on top of the cushions. Very charming Acantholimon from Turkey. This one seems to need a little shelter at the lower elevations, but I suspect it would do better above 3000'. DR TNT
883 Acantholimon venustum 8X18 0 A popular Acantholimon with very silver cushions of linear leaves. Bright rose flowers on 10-15cm scapes. DR
9 Achillea clavenae 8X15 3 White flowers, silvery foliage DR TNT
10 Achillea kelleri 8X12 6 Mounds of finely cut silver foilage topped with white flowers in late spring. Wonderful in front of Spanish Lavender. DR TNT
11 Achillea serbica 4X10 4 Small white daisy flowers on dense low silver mats. Very attractive in or out of flower. Good in hot dry gardens, as are most of the dwarf silver yarrows. DR TNT
395 Achillea umbellata 5X10 Silvery white cushions and big white flowers. Another dwarf yarrow from Greece, great for those hot, dry, and deer-plagued gardens. DR TNT
15 Aethionema armenum 4X10 4 Possibly still my favorite Aethionema, especially in mid-summer when the foliage has formed flat dense clumps of shrubby blue foliage. Light pink flowers in spring come later than some of the other Aethionema, extending the bloom season. Can handle poor dry soil. DR TNT
415 Aethionema glaucescens 3X6 4 A nice dwarf Aethionema forming dense mounds of narrow glaucous blue-green leaves. Pale pink flowers in spring. Perfect for the smaller rock garden, or to fill crevices in a dry rock wall. This is another dependable performer for us. DR TNT
20 Aethionema schistosum 7X12 4 Glaucous blue foliage and honey scented pale pink flowers. Excellent in dry rock walls or on the edge of a bank. DR TNT
564 Aethionema stylosa 8X12 5 A shrubby aethionema with deep rose pink flowers. A dense habit that is taller than some of our Aethionema’s. We like this one. DR TNT
